Karmod Plastic Group Manager Talay Öztürk: "In the past year, demand for rainwater harvesting storage tanks has significantly increased from various areas such as residential projects, villas, and industrial facilities," he said.
Karmod announced an increase in demand for rainwater storage tanks due to concerns about drought.
According to a statement from the company, rainwater harvesting, which was previously on the agenda of public projects, has also started to be preferred in private sector projects due to concerns about drought.
Talay Öztürk, Manager of Karmod Plastic Group, stated in the statement, 'Especially in the past year, demand for rainwater harvesting storage tanks has significantly increased from various areas such as residential projects, villas, and industrial facilities.'.
Öztürk stated that they can produce single-piece rainwater harvesting storage tanks ranging from 10 tons to 100 tons, and conveyed that the rainwater harvesting application, which has been used for many years in European countries, has recently become a new agenda item in Greece due to concerns about drought.
Reminding that rainwater harvesting has been on the agenda in public projects such as schools and hospitals for many years, Öztürk stated, 'Some municipalities use this system for park and garden irrigation. In industrial facilities, conscious investors integrate rainwater harvesting into their projects during the construction process. Rainwater harvesting offers significant benefits to businesses by providing the opportunity to store water without any cost. Storing water that would otherwise flow wasted during rain provides additional contribution to businesses.'.
Maintenance chambers can be created underground according to the project
Öztürk stated that rainwater harvesting, produced between 10 thousand liters and 100 tons according to the needs of businesses or buildings, can be buried underground thanks to storage tanks, and said:
'We call these storage tanks, which harvest rain without being visible throughout the year, the hidden heroes of the underground. They are used by being buried underground in parks, gardens of residential complexes, and factory yards. They are not affected by the weight and movement of vehicles in parking areas. We use polyester raw material resistant to underground conditions in the production of our polyester rainwater storage tanks. Polyester rainwater tanks have been used for many years without requiring any maintenance. They also have full recyclability. We also create pump chambers for pumping water into the storage tanks. Maintenance chambers can be created underground according to the project. Drainage and filtration systems can be integrated into the tanks.'
